Visit Basse Navarre
«Behe Nafarroa»

Basse-Navarre extends over 3 valleys, of which Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port “Garazi” is the capital. From the top of its citadel, you can admire this region crossed by the Santiago de Compostela route and the GR10. Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port is the gateway to Navarre via the famous Roncevaux Pass and a real stronghold for sheep breeders. It’s the land of AOP Irouléguy and “Kintoa” AOP pork.

In the heart of Irouléguy

On the mountainside, the Irouléguy vineyard is one of the smallest in Europe. Arranged in terraces to tame the relief of the Pyrenees, the plots of vines and surrounding landscapes have some wonderful discoveries in store.
